Return from Eurochocolate
Saturday, December 4, 2004 opening of Eurochocolate in Naples. The news
tickled me a lot because the festival has always been under the spotlight of the press and TV in his edition of Perugia. So with 10 € in hand - the cost of two entrances - I submitted to the Oltremare Fair, home of the event.
So many people and many sellers of the best known brands, but after a couple of hours speed I left with a sense of dissatisfaction. The feeling I had was that of a cultural content that has to be discreet background to an event to promote "trade chocolate." Nothing wrong with that. But it was not what I was expecting. It may be that the programs of other days are able to combine different events and create an interesting visit.
I hit a lot of the posters on the production of chocolate, concentrated almost entirely below the 20th parallel (Africa, South America) for a consumer is instead all European and American. Production for the rich countries, which enriches the country of production.
